Via ReadWriteWeb: ”according to data from Next Big Sound. For 38% of musicians, Facebook views had a significant effect on album sales, a stronger impact than traditional radio plays had. Vevo, YouTube and SoundCloud all ranked highly as well.”

Headliner is featured on Tech Crunch’s front page today, announcing our partnership with SoundCloud. The deal makes it even easier for bands to share their music with new fans online, creating a “killer promotional tool.”
As TechCrunch writer Rip Emerson explains: “This social recommendation exchange is a brilliant idea, and now with the integration of SoundCloud tracks (which are already socially-outfitted) directly into that Facebook promotional content, Headliner is starting to look like a business that is offering a truly valuable service to small-time musicians.”
