    Keytar 2.0

Keytars are about to make a big comeback, but not in the way you might imagine. Although nothing can replace the rich textures of a well-made guitar, Misa has a new twist on a classic. The Misa Digital Guitar, which has yet to be released, is a MIDI controller built into a guitar-shaped body and played by pressing down on the frets and strumming your fingers where the strings would be. I haven’t played one yet, but the interface seems like an excellent way for guitarists to access the plethora of sounds available on keyboards while still maintaining the feel of playing a guitar. Check out a demo here.

What will Vice do with it’s new found mainstream journalistic cred?  Who knows, but if Glenn Beck can command a large portion of America’s attention maybe Vice can to.
