Reo Speed Wagon has a video game now, an online video game. The video game industry eclipsed the music industry in revenues long ago, and with games like Guitar and DJ Hero raking in enormous profits, video games have become another avenue to market music. With their debut game, Reo Speed Wagon has joined the ranks of acts like the Beatles appearing as controllable video game characters. The game was produced by an Indian developers for a sum of $80,000. Video games based on bands are nothing new, see Wutang Clans’ Shaolin Style, but there definitely has been an increase in digitized versions of music stars over the last couple years.
