    Twitter’s Click Through Rate 

    Ever put a link up on Twitter? Ever wonder how many people clicked on that link? Well Darren Barefoot’s curiousity about the subject motivated him to create a survey regarding the likelihood of a Twitter imbedded link being clicked on. The survey used only 45 participants, and is in no way a definitive source on the subject. Nonetheless, it offers a small window into the life of a link of twitter. Check out Barefoot’s survey, which estimates the click through rate at about 3%, here.

    Wanduta: Offering Health Care and Discounts for Musicians 

    Wanduta is a newly created, for profit, organization which aims to deliver access to discounts, on things like travel and gear, and health care to musicians. Wanduta is free to join and offers lower prices to members through economy of scale, leveraging the size of its constituency to negotiate lower fares and rates for its clients. At this point how good of an organization Wanduta is, and will be, is up for debate but check them out here.

    When Merchandising Gets Ridiculous 

    Snoop

    Whenever I am lost in the middle of an unfamiliar neighborhood I keep calm by visualizing Snoop Dogg guiding me back home. Well if you are like me you will be thrilled to know that the iconic West Coast rapper has partnered with GPS company Tom Tom on a Snoop voiced GPS system. Amongst the Snoop Tom Tom’s more choice phrases: “Turn around when possible and keep it ‘G’, ya d-i-g?” Thanks Snoop!
